Introducing our new Hotspot for patron use! Internet access is a challenge for many of us in the Pymatuning Valley area. The library provides WIFI access for community members who are able to make it into Andover. The signal is on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and strong enough to connect from the parking lot and library garden. While we are glad to provide this service, we also know that having access to the internet at your home is desired. Our new mobile Hotspot can be checked out of the library for 14 days and can be used to connect your devices to the internet.
Here are some things to keep in mind when calling to borrow a Hotspot from the library:ยท
- User must be at least 18 years of age.
- User must present a picture ID.
- User must present an Andover Library card they have possessed for at least 30 days, be in good standing (no fines, fees, overdue items) and the address and phone number on file must be current at the time of checkout.
- Limit of ONE hotspot device per household.
- An agreement must be signed at every checkout of a hotspot.
- 4G LTE service is not guaranteed. The first 25 GB has 4G service, after that service may be reduced to 3G LTE.
- LOAN PERIOD: 14 days with NO renewals. You must wait 24 hours before checking out another hotspot device.
