The Andover Public Library hosted a Fall Photography Contest<\/strong> this past month. A total of 154 photos were entered by amateur photographers local to the Pymatuning Valley and some as far away as Cleveland and Pittsburgh. The photographers had ten categories to choose from, with an option to submit one photo to each category. Youth submissions were limited to one photo in total. The photos were on display throughout the Andover Public Library from October 4th through the 22nd.<\/span><\/p>\n

Best in Show was awarded to Gus Saikaly and his submission into the \u201cScenic\u201d category. The \u201cScenic\u201d category was the most popular category, with \u201cBlack and White\u201d and \u201cPlants, Trees, and Flowers\u201d following closely behind in the number of submissions. A new category, \u201cHats\u201d, was added this year and had some creative entries.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Fall 2022 Photography Show is already in the works. Amateur photographers are encouraged to check the library website and social media for details sometime next summer. The library website is www.andover.lib.oh.us.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSpeaking with first-time participants, this was a great way to show off their talents and be seen by others who share their same passion. It was heartwarming to see the turnout of participants and support for this event.\u201d Sheila Privett, Program Coordinator<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
