This in-depth, hands-on class will cover both thru-hole and surface mount components. Practice circuit boards and components will be provided. No experience necessary. Students will be taken through the process of soldering electronic components from the most basic concepts through competency at aerospace standards. 

Materials needed: You are encouraged to bring your own equipment

  • A quality soldering iron
  • Set of non-magnetic tweezers
  • Wire cutters
  • Needle nose pliers
  • Solder
  • Rosin
  • Soldering braid
  • Inspection loop
